Bridgewater was held out of Thursday's preseason win over the Seahawks with a sore shoulder, ESPN's Ben Goessling reports.

Bridgewater participated in pregame warmups and was expected to start Thursday evening's preseason matchup with Seattle, but was ultimately held out due to what was deemed a "coach's decision." However, it now appears the Vikings were simply playing it safe with Bridgewater, as the Louisville product is reportedly nursing a sore shoulder. The injury isn't believed to be serious, however, so Bridgewater should be ready to return to action when the Vikings take on the Chargers next Sunday.
