Davidson was waived by the Vikings on Tuesday, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
A rookie fifth-round pick, Davidson was unable to convince the Vikings he was worth a spot on the initial 53-man roster. However, Minnesota would like to have him on the practice squad if he clears waivers.
