Sheard had 19 tackles (10 solo), 1.5 sacks and one forced fumble across nine games with the Giants in 2020. Sheard also played one game for the Jaguars in 2020, in which he recorded one defended pass. The veteran linebacker put forth his worst statistical season in terms of both sacks and tackles in 2020, and he's set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

Sheard (foot) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's against Denver, Andrew Walker of the Colts' official site reports. Sheard didn't participate at practice Thursday but returned for a full session Friday to clear him for Week 8. The 30-year-old has nine tackles (eight solo) and 1.5 sacks in three games this season.

Sheard (foot) did not practice Thursday, Kevin Bowen of 1070 The Fan Indianapolis reports. Sheard was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, so his foot issue appears to be a new development. The starting defensive end's level of participation in Friday's practice will shed light on his chances of suiting up against the Broncos on Sunday.

Sheard (knee) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice. Sheard suffered this knee injury in July and went under the knife in August. He made enough progress in recovery to avoid starting the season on injured reserve, but having that in question doesn't bode well for his Week 1 status. Keep an eye on his practice status Thursday and Friday. Al-Quadin Muhammad will start at defensive end if Sheard can't go.

Sheard (knee) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Texans. Sheard did not practice Thursday after having been a limited participant Tuesday and Wednesday. If the 29-year-old is able to play through his knee injury versus the Texans, he'll draw his usual start at defensive end.
