  The Colts placed Carrie (undisclosed) on injured reserve Wednesday. After playing 77 defensive snaps over the first two weeks of the season, Carrie didn't log any in Week 3. Carrie's playing time may have dropped because of Xavier Rhodes' (calf) return, but the Ohio product also picked up an injury. It's unclear what is ailing the 31-year-old linebacker, but he will be forced to miss the next three weeks after landing on IR.

Carrie logged 69 percent of the defensive snaps for a second straight week, and he tied Kenny Moore for the team lead in tackles Sunday.   Carrie was forced out of Sunday's preseason opener against the Panthers by a knee injury, George Bremer of The Herald Bulletin reports. Carrie picked up one tackle prior to exiting the game but was ruled out of the contest after sustaining the injury. A qualification on the severity of Carrie's injury will likely surface prior to Week 2 of preseason, when he and the Colts are scheduled to face the Vikings.

  Carrie (hamstring) won't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game versus the Browns, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports. Carrie practiced at full speed Friday and will return to the lineup after missing just one game. The Colts' secondary is finally healthy, save for Malik Hooker (Achilles), just in time to face Odell Beckham and the Browns. Carrie's role fluctuated from game to game when he was healthy, so it's uncertain how much he'll play Sunday, especially coming off a hamstring injury.
