The Bears placed Trevathan (knee) on injured reserve Wednesday, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports. Trevathan continues to work through knee soreness that's bothered him throughout training camp, per Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times. The veteran interior linebacker will be eligible to return as soon as Week 4 against the Lions.

Trevathan came into this game having posted double-digit tackles in three of the last four games, but his sack salvaged what otherwise would've been a disappointing fantasy performance. He'll continue to be a high-floor IDP option in Week 17 against the Packers.

Trevathan was easily Chicago's most active producer from their front seven, as he posted his second double-digit tackle performance of the season. Although he hasn't shown the consistent upside from earlier in his career, he's recorded at least eight stops in five of his last seven games, giving him a solid weekly scoring floor.
