Curry (elbow) is inactive Sunday against the Seahawks. Curry closed out the week with a limited practice Friday, but he's still not well enough to suit up. His absence will weaken the Jets' depth on the edges, as well as on special teams.

The Jets placed Curry (hamstring) on injured reserve Thursday, Ethan Greenberg of the team's official site reports. Curry initially signed with the Jets in March of 2021 but missed the entire season after being placed on the reserve/NFI list at the end of August. He'll now be forced to miss at least the first four games of the 2022 campaign due to a hamstring issue that's lingered since the beginning of training camp. The 2012 second-round pick has totaled 32.5 sacks and 194 tackles across 123 career games, but it's uncertain how productive he'll be after not appearing in a game for over a year.

Curry (hamstring) was not present at practice Wednesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. It's a discouraging sign for Curry, who already hasn't seen game action since 2020 thanks to complications that cropped up after a surgery he underwent to remove his spleen before last season. Once he's able to return from the hamstring issue he's now dealing with, he'll compete for a depth role at defensive end behind Carl Lawson and John Franklin-Myers.

Curry (illness) re-signed with the Jets on Wednesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Curry signed a one-year deal with the Jets last offseason, but he missed all of 2021 due to developing blood clots after having surgery to remove his spleen. The 33-year-old veteran last played in 2020 with the Eagles, where he recorded 16 tackles and three sacks in 11 contests. He'll work to help the Jets pass rush, which was near the bottom of the league with just 33 sacks last season.

The Jets moved Curry to the reserve/non-football injury list Tuesday, Ralph Vacchiano of SportsNet New York reports. Coach Robert Saleh said back in July that Curry could be available by Week 2, but his shift to the reserve/NFI list means he will be forced to sit out the first six weeks of the 2021 season. The veteran defensive end appeared in 11 games with the Eagles last season, during which time he racked up 16 tackles, three sacks and a fumble recovery.
