  • Titans' Buster Skrine: Lands on COVID list
    By RotoWire

Skrine (illness) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. The designation came as a result of a positive test, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. Skrine joined the Titans on Nov. 23 and has been a consistent presence in the secondary, having played no less than 98 percent of the defensive snaps in any of their last three contests. He'll try to clear protocols in time for Sunday, when Tennessee hosts the Dolphins.

    By RotoWire

Skrine was cut from the practice squad Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Skrine had only been with the 49ers for a couple of weeks. The 11-year vet was active Week 4, but he only played three special-teams snaps. Skrine was a regular in the Bears' defense the last two seasons and now will look to potentially continue his career elsewhere. In a corresponding move, San Francisco activated cornerback Davontae Harris from IR.

He recorded 112 tackles (89 solo) and three passes defensed during his two-year stint with the team. Besides the Bears, the 31-year-old has spent time with the Browns and Jets during his time in the league. He now will look for a new opportunity.

  • Bears' Buster Skrine: Out against Vikings
    By RotoWire

Skrine (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Vikings. Skrine didn't practice all week and will miss a second consecutive game. The Bears could be without two of their top three cornerbacks if Jaylon Johnson -- who didn't practice all week and is considered questionable with a shoulder injury -- is also ruled out. Skrine will aim to progress through the league's concussion protocol before the Week 16 matchup against the Jaguars.
