The Broncos hosted Erving (leg) for a tryout Thursday, Howard Balzer of USA Today reports. The Broncos are looking to fill the void left by Mike McGlinchey, who was placed on injured reserve Wednesday due to an MCL sprain. Erving was let go from the Texans' practice squad Sept. 14 with an injury settlement, and the 2015 first-round pick will look to catch on with the Broncos now that he's fully healthy.

Erving was slated to miss the entire 2024 campaign, but he will now be free to find a new opportunity once his health allows it. The veteran offensive lineman most recently appeared in three games for the Saints in 2023.

Carolina released Erving on Tuesday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. Erving left the Panthers' preseason opener early with an ankle injury, but he appears to be healthy, as Carolina didn't cut him with an injury designation. If he clears waivers, the 2015 first-round pick will head to free agency.

Erving suffered an ankle injury and did not return to Saturday's 27-0 loss to the Jets, David Newton of ESPN.com reports. Erving was forced out late in the game and remained sidelined for the remainder. The offensive tackle's status will likely be addressed in the coming days.
