Addison, 35, was due a $3 million salary for 2023, but the Texans are moving on and clearing more than $2.3 million in cap space. He recorded just one sack in 12 appearances last season. Addison has 68 career sacks across 170 games of action.

  The Texans activated Addison (thigh) from injured reserve Saturday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports. Addison was forced to miss the first four games of the season after landing on injured reserve due to a thigh injury, but he's set to make his season and team debut in Week 5. The veteran pass rusher has recorded at least five sacks in eight consecutive seasons and will look to continue that streak during his first campaign with Houston.

  Addison agreed to terms on a three-year contract with the Bills on Monday, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports. The 32-year-old had 34 tackles (20 solo), 9.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in 16 games in 2019, and he's recorded at least nine sacks in each of the past four seasons. Addison figures to fill the void in Buffalo's pass rush left by the departure of Shaq Lawson, who is signing with the Dolphins.
