The Ravens signed Gordon to their practice squad Friday. Gordon was cut by Baltimore earlier this week in order to make room for Dalvin Cook, who is expected to be active behind Gus Edwards and Justice Hill against the Texans. Gordon can't be elevated for Saturday's game.

Gordon, whom the Ravens waived Wednesday, is a candidate to re-sign to the team's practice squad, Jamison Hensley of ESPN reports. Gordon lost his spot on Baltimore's practice squad to fellow veteran running back Dalvin Cook. Still, Gordon is reportedly considered a likely candidate to return to the Ravens' practice squad, giving the team a bit more veteran depth in the backfield for the playoffs. He suited up in a reserve role for four regular-season games with the team, compiling 81 rushing yards and one touchdown on 26 carries, plus one fumble.

The Ravens waived Gordon on Wednesday. The move frees up a roster spot for Dalvin Cook, who is likely to be signed off the practice squad ahead of the Ravens' divisional-round playoff game against the Texans on Saturday. In four regular-season games with the Ravens, Gordon logged 26 carries for 81 yards and a touchdown and added three catches for 46 yards.

The Ravens are likely going to rest Gus Edwards and Justice Hill for the playoffs as the No. 1 seed in the AFC. That should allow Gordon to be the lead running back against the Steelers. He'll be playing with backups, so keep that in mind, but Pittsburgh has allowed four running backs in the past five games to score at least 12.3 PPR points. And Gordon just scored a touchdown for Baltimore against Miami in Week 17.

Gordon is another third-string running back who should be thrust into action with the Ravens expected to rest Gus Edwards. This week a big projected workload is about all it takes to be a starting Fantasy running back, but the Steelers have given up some big games to backs this season as well.
