The Dolphins released Scarlett (undisclosed) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Monday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports. Scarlett was set to miss the entire 2022 campaign after landing on IR, but he'll now be free to join a new team once he clears his current injury. Per Jackson, the veteran linebacker is expected to be healthy by Week 7 or 8 of the regular season.

Scarlett (knee) was activated off injured reserve Saturday. The sub linebacker has been a major special-teams component, primarily racking up his 17 tackles through that means. Expect Scarlett to immediately resume his special-teams role.

The Texans placed Scarlett (forearm) on injured reserve Monday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports. Scarlett suffered a fractured forearm during Sunday's win over the Jaguars, and he's expected to face an extended absence. The Texans are expected to get Whitney Mercilus back from the COVID-19 list this week, but they'll still be short-handed at linebacker. Jonathan Greenard and Nate Orchard are candidates to slot into a starting role on the outside.

Scarlett (Achilles/shoulder) is active for Sunday's tilt against the Titans. Scarlett is set to take the field after being a limited participant in all three practices leading up to Sunday's contest. He'll draw his usual start in Houston's linebacker corps.

Scarlett (shoulder) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Patriots. Scarlett practiced all week in a limited fashion, but he wasn't able to overcome this shoulder issue in time. In his stead, Jacob Martin -- who has seven tackles and a sack through 11 games -- is a top candidate to start at outside linebacker.
