Clinton-Dix was restored to the Raiders' practice squad from the unit's reserve/COVID-19 list Monday. Clinton-Dix joined the Raiders on Sept. 13 after being cut by San Francisco during training camp. Other than a couple of special-teams snaps in Week 3 against Miami, Clinton-Dix hasn't seen any game action this season. He'll continue to serve as organizational depth while awaiting a potential promotion.

Clinton-Dix was placed the Raiders' practice squad COVID-19 list Monday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports. Clinton-Dix won't be cleared to practice until he passes through league protocols. He was signed to the team's practice squad in mid-September and has appeared in one contest since, logging two snaps on special teams in Week 3 against Miami.

Clinton-Dix agreed to a contract with the Cowboys on Thursday, Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News reports. Clinton-Dix will help fill the void left by the departed Jeff Heath and should step in as a starter at safety alongside Xavier Woods. The seventh-year veteran had his worst statistical year of his career in 2019, recording only 78 tackles and two interceptions in a full 16-game campaign. Clinton-Dix has proven his talent as an open-field player over the course of his career, however, and could have a resurgent year in Dallas.

Clinton-Dix posted four stops in the Bears' 21-19 victory over the Vikings in Week 17, and he concluded the campaign with 78 tackles, three interceptions and a touchdown. During his seven-year career, this is the fifth time that Clinton-Dix has logged a full season, but among those seasons, this was his least productive campaign. He's now an unrestricted free agent, and, based on his experience, he should be able to land a starting job, and he'll likely continue to be a middling IDP option.

Clinton-Dix notched seven tackles while recovering a fumble in the Bears' 17-7 loss to the Rams on Sunday. Clinton-Dix posted his second-highest tackle total of the season, and he's averaging 5.1 stops on the campaign. Aside from a two-interception performance in Week 3, he's been unable to provide the big-play upside that fantasy owners were hoping for when he signed with the Bears. Consider him a middling IDP option based on his solid tackle numbers.
