Stanford (nose) practiced on a limited basis Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's opener in Baltimore, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports. Stanford will likely only have a limited snap count even if he does suit up against the Ravens, though a potential absence would leave some special teams responsibilities for someone else.

Stanford (ankle) was released by the Jets on Friday, ESPN's Rich Cimini reports. After receiving a promotion from the Jets' practice squad to the active roster last October, Stanford ultimately finished the 2016 campaign with 22 tackles across nine game appearances. However, he ended the season on injured reserve due to an ankle injury and will likely need to prove he's back to full strength before finding a new home ahead of training camp.

Stanford has been signed from the Jets' practice squad, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports. Stanford will look to provide depth to a thin linebacker corps for the Jets. Erin Henderson is likely out for the year after being placed on the NFI and Darron Lee remains sidelined with an ankle injury, so Stanford could see some immediate action in Sunday's matchup against the Ravens.
