• Vince Biegel: Works out with Raiders

  Biegel (Achilles) had a tryout with the Raiders on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Biegel suffered a season-ending Achilles injury prior to the 2022 campaign. His tryout with Las Vegas indicates he is finally recovered from the injury. The 30-year-old last played with the Dolphins in 2021, where he suited up for five games.

  Biegel sustained a torn left Achilles during Tuesday's practice, Josh Tolentino of The Athletic reports. Biegel will almost certainly be required to miss the entire 2020 campaign due to the severity of his injury. It's a brutal blow for the 27-year-old, who notched 59 tackles, 2.5 sacks and one interception in 2019, a season which appeared to signify a step forward in his career. He's on track to hit free agency in 2021.

  Biegel (elbow) is expected to retain a starting role during training camp, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports. Biegel is coming off a career year in which he recorded 59 tackles (27 solo), 2.5 sacks and one interception, despite missing one contest due to an elbow injury. With Kyle Van Noy and Jerome Baker locked in as every-down starters in Miami's linebacker corps, Biegel now stands to compete with Raekwon McMillan and Emmanuel Ogbah for a share of starting snaps.

  Biegel (elbow) has officially signed his restricted free agent tender with the Dolphins. Following a career year, Biegel and the Dolphins were unable to come to terms on a long-term deal. As a result, they tendered him as a restricted free agent. The 26-year-old will now look to build on his 59 tackles (27 solo), 2.5 sacks and one interception from last season. If he does so, that long-term contract could certainly be in play next offseason.

  Biegel (elbow) is officially inactive for Sunday's game against the Patriots. Biegel will be forced to miss time due to the elbow issue that he suffered in Week 16's win over the Bengals. With the Wisconsin product sidelined, it's likely that Calvin Munson will draw the start at inside linebacker in his absence.
