  • The Giants held a visit with Humphries (knee) on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Humphries suffered an ACL tear in Week 17 of the 2023 campaign with Arizona, but he's now apparently in good enough shape to discuss a return to the field in the near future. After standout left tackle Andrew Thomas was ruled out for the season ahead of Week 7, it makes sense that the Giants would look to shore up the offensive line in some way.

  • D.J. Humphries: Let go by Cardinals
    By RotoWire

Humphries (knee) was released by the Cardinals on Wednesday, Bob McManaman of The Arizona Republic reports. Humphries -- who was let go with a failed physical designation -- suffered a torn ACL in Week 17 of the 2023 campaign and is still recovering from the injury. Once healthy, the offensive tackle will have to prove himself in order to get another opportunity elsewhere. The 30-year-old has an abundance of experience in the league and will now look for a new home after nine seasons in Arizona.

  • Head coach Jonathan Gannon noted Monday that Humphries (knee) has to wait to get surgery for his torn ACL, Bob McManaman of The Arizona Republic reports. Gannon told reporters that Humphries is dealing with an MCL sprain that needs to "calm down" before undergoing ACL surgery. McManaman notes that it could take a month or two for that to happen, which would significantly delay Humphries's surgery and subsequent recovery. He started in all 15 games he appeared in this season.

  • Humphries (knee) was placed on injured reserve Friday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. Humphries suffered a torn ACL in the Cardinals' Week 17 win over the Eagles, so it's no surprise that the 30-year-old will end the season on injured reserve. Kelvin Beachum is expected to get the nod at left tackle in Arizona's season finale, with Humphries set to miss significant time.

  • Head coach Jonathan Gannon said Monday that Humphries' knee injury is still being evaluated and that the team should have an update Wednesday, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports. Humphries injured his left knee during Sunday's win over the Eagles and had to be helped off the field by trainers and did not return. The eighth-year pro missed one game earlier in the season with an ankle injury but has otherwise started all 15 games he's played in.
