  • Ifedi suffered a hand injury during Saturday's preseason game against Minnesota and has been ruled out from returning, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports. Ifedi signed with the Browns in April after spending part of last season on the team's practice squad. He had been on the outside looking in for a spot on the 53-man roster prior to getting hurt Saturday, and the injury could spell an end to his chances if it causes him to miss additional time.

However, Ifedi has plenty of experience, playing in 102 games -- mostly as a starter -- through his NFL career.

Ifedi agreed to a contract with the Lions on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Ifedi was recently cut loose by the Falcons after re-signing with the team in March. The 2016 first-round pick has now found a new home, though he'll have to battle for a depth role at tackle through the Lions' offseason program and training camp. He logged just six total snaps during the 2022 season.
