Butler (undisclosed) was released from injured reserve by the Giants with an injury settlement Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Butler missed all of camp with the injury, but his settlement will now allow him to play this season, as soon as he proves himself healthy and he can find a team to sign with.

Butler (undisclosed) passed a physical and was activated from the active/non-football injury list Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports. Butler was placed on the list last Thursday for unknown reasons. Last year with Buffalo, he collected just 11 tackles in 10 games, Now with the Raiders, the 2016 first-round selection will work to make a bigger impact on his new team.

Butler left practice Saturday with a head injury, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports. We'll assume the veteran, who's expected to be a key part of the Bills' defensive line rotation in his second year with the team, is being evaluated for a concussion.

Butler (groin) practiced in full Thursday. Butler began the week as a limited participant Wednesday, but barring any setbacks he's on track to start against the Seahawks on Sunday. The interior defensive lineman is still searching for his first sack of 2020.

Butler, who missed the season-opening win over the Jets due to a hamstring injury, was able to practice fully Wednesday, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports. It looks like the Bills may have played it safe with one of their prized offseason signees, perhaps helped by the fact they have so much depth on their defensive line. That said, it looks like Butler is trending toward adding even more power to an already strong defensive unit in Week 2.
