• Cardinals' Devon Kennard: Joins Cardinals' 53-man roster

  The Cardinals signed Kennard to their active roster Tuesday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports. Kennard's promotion isn't much of a surprise considering he was elevated to Arizona's active roster prior to both of the team's first two contests. Through Week 2, the 31-year-old linebacker has registered two total tackles, with one in each game thus far. Expect Kennard to continue operating as a rotational piece for the Cardinals defense when the team hosts the Rams on Sunday.

  Kennard was activated from the Cardinals' reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports. Kennard was forced to miss the team's win over the Cowboys in Week 17 after being placed on the COVID list Dec. 29. The linebacker will return to his depth role ahead of the team's final regular season game Sunday against the Seahawks.

  Kennard (hamstring) is active for Sunday's contest against the Jaguars, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official website reports. Kennard missed Week 2 with a hamstring injury, but he will suit up against the Jaguars in Week 3. He logged only 13 defensive snaps and was held without a tackle during Week 1, so it's unclear how much of an impact his return will have on Arizona's defense.

  Kennard (illness) won't play Sunday against Miami, Kyle Odegard of the Cardinals' official site reports. Kennard is on the reserve/COVID-19 list, and he won't be eligible to come off until he's asymptomatic and 10 days have passed since his last positive test. Those requirements could be fulfilled in time for Kennard to face Buffalo in Week 10, and coach Kliff Kingsbury added that there have been no new positive tests on the team.

  Kennard announced via his personal Twitter account Monday he tested positive for COVID-19. The Cardinals shut down their facility over the weekend due to some positive tests, and Kennard was one of the infected individuals. The 29-year-old will be unavailable until he clears the league's COVID-19 protocols, so he'll be unavailable until further notice.
