Bouye (coach's decision) is expected to play Sunday at Dallas, according to Joe Person of The Athletic. Carolina's head coach Matt Rhule said he expects Bouye to feature Sunday in what would be the season debut for the veteran cornerback. Bouye missed the first two contests of the season due to an existing suspension that extended into 2021 and was apparently dealing with a soft-tissue injury over the last few days, but the coach's words make it fairly clear that he's going to take the field at some point Sunday.

Bouye's suspension was officially uplifted Monday, Howard Balzer of SI.com reports. Bouye, while with the Broncos, was suspended for six games in the latter half of the 2020 NFL season for violating the league's performance-enhancing drugs policy. He has now completed the suspension and will be available for the Panthers going forward. He is expected to provide depth at cornerback.

Coach Matt Rhule said Thursday that Bouye (suspension) could miss "a couple weeks" due to a soft-tissue injury, Joe Person of The Athletic reports. Bouye is already set to miss the first two games of the 2021 season due to a suspension for violating the league's performance-enhancing drugs policy, making his earliest possible return date Week 3. As long as the veteran cornerback has managed to return by then, he could push for a starting spot across from Donte Jackson, but it won't be good news if Bouye is forced to miss a significant amount of practice time.

The NFL has officially suspended Bouye six games for violating the performance-enhancing drugs policy, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports. Bouye's suspension rules him out for the remainder of the 2020 campaign and will additionally carry over to the first two games of 2021. In the meantime, rookie third-round pick Michael Ojemudia could be asked to handle an expanded role.

Bouye is facing a suspension for violating the NFL's performance-enhancing drugs policy, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports. While the length of Bouye's ban isn't yet known, Klis notes that the cornerback's suspension is related to the ones currently being served by the Texans' Will Fuller and Bradley Roby. Both of those players were handed six-game suspensions last week, so Bouye will most likely be in line for a ban of similar length. If Bouye's suspension is confirmed, it would be yet another major blow to a Denver secondary that within the last week moved Bryce Callahan (foot) to injured reserve and lost Essang Bassey to a season-ending ACL tear.
