Shelton signed a one-year contract with the Bears on Thursday. Shelton started at center for all 17 regular-season games with the Rams last season. With no clear option at center currently for Chicago, the 28-year-old will likely have the inside track for the gig heading into the team's offseason programs.

Shelton re-signed with the Rams on a two-year contract Wednesday, Sarah Barshop of ESPN reports. Shelton started all 13 games he played for the Rams last season. He can slide in at guard or center.
