Atlanta worked out Fry on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Fry was let go by Denver prior to Week 1, and he's now hoping for another opportunity with a different team. Regular starting kicker Younghoe Koo has missed kicks in back-to-back games for the Falcons, but they're not likely to make a change at the position unless he continues to struggle.

The Broncos waived Fry (undisclosed) off injured reserve with an injury settlement Tuesday, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports. Fry was set to miss the 2023 season after being placed on the Broncos' injured reserve list. Now that he has reached an injury settlement with Denver, Fry will be able to sign with another team once he recovers from his injury.

Fry (undisclosed) reverted to the Broncos' injured reserve list Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Fry will now miss the entire 2023 campaign, unless he reaches an injury settlement with Denver. The 28-year-old had been in competition with Brett Maher for the team's kicking duties before succumbing the injury. The Broncos have yet to add another kicker to the 90-man training camp roster to compete with Maher.

Fry and Brett Maher are in a training-camp competition for the Broncos' kicker job, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports. Fry signed a contract with Denver in late May after being waived by Arizona a few weeks prior. The Broncos subsequently brought in Maher, who had a strong regular season with Dallas last year before coming down with a case of the yips in the playoffs, missing four extra-point tries in a game against Tampa Bay. Given Maher's advantage in experience -- he's kicked in 54 regular-season games to Fry's three -- the former likely has the early leg up in the training-camp battle, though Maher will need to prove he's past the issues that led to his postseason struggles to win the job.

Fry agreed to a contract with the Broncos on Wednesday, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports. He becomes the lone kicker on the Broncos roster after they released Brandon McManus last week. Given that Fry has attempted only six field goals in the NFL, it's probably a matter of time before the team brings in competition for the kicking job.
