Detroit cut Quinn from its practice squad Tuesday. A little over a week after signing with the Lions' practice team, Quinn is now set to become a free agent again. He last saw regular-season action with Jacksonville in 2020.

Quinn signed with Detroit's practice squad Monday. Quin was waived from injured reserve by the Lions in August but will now rejoin the team after recovering from an undisclosed injury. The former Mr. Irrelevant will look for an opportunity to get called up for action and is capable of contributing on both offense and special teams.

Quinn (undisclosed) was waived from IR with an injury settlement Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Quinn will now have the chance to pursue opportunities with other teams for the 2023 campaign, as long as he can prove himself healthy. The 27-year-old last played an NFL game with Jacksonville in 2020, although he's also spent time with the Broncos and Raiders since.

Quinn (undisclosed) has reverted to the Lions' injured reserve after going unclaimed on waivers, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Neither Quinn's specific injury, nor timeline for recovery, has been made public by the Lions. If he is sidelined with an issue in which a long recovery is not expected, then it would still be possible for both him and the Lions to reach an injury settlement at some point down the road. Should that not ultimately come to fruition, that would mean the pass catcher's 2023 season has come to a premature end.

If he goes unclaimed off waivers, he then will revert to the Lions' injured reserve. From there, his season will be over unless both he and the team can ultimately come to terms on an injury settlement once his health is back up to par.
