  Moreland signed a contract with the Jets' practice squad Wednesday. Moreland reached an injury settlement with the Eagles on Aug. 24 after reverting to the team's IR one week prior. The Jets signed the 27-year-old after also elevating fellow defensive back Will Parks to the team's active roster Wednesday. Moreland is now eligible to appear in three games via gameday elevations while on the team's practice squad this season.

  Moreland (undisclosed) was claimed off waivers by the Texans on Tuesday, independent NFL journalist Aaron Wilson reports. Moreland was waived off Washington's injured reserve with an injury settlement Monday, and he's apparently fully healthy and ready to join his new team. The 26-year-old saw heavy action in all 16 games for the Football Team last year and totaled 43 tackles, one interception, one forced fumble and a half-sack.
