Izzo was released after the Panthers added Josh Watson to their roster, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports. After posting 313 yards with the Patriots between 2019 and 2020, Izzo played in one game last year for the Titans. He was signed by the Panthers on Aug. 11 but was let go in less than one week. He'll look to catch on as a depth option elsewhere.

Izzo signed a contract with the Panthers on Thursday, David Newton of ESPN.com reports. Izzo was one of two tight ends, alongside Nate Becker, signed by Carolina on Thursday as the team deals with multiple injuries at the position over the past few days. The third-year tight end caught 19 of his 29 targets for 313 yards and one score over 18 games with the Patriots from 2019 to 2020, but he was waived by Tennessee in June after playing just one game for the team last season. Izzo should push for a backup role with the Panthers this preseason after tight ends Ian Thomas (ribs), Colin Thompson (calf) and Josh Babicz (undisclosed) all picked up injuries this past week.

The Titans released Izzo on Wednesday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports. The 2018 seventh-round pick played five offensive snaps in one game for the Titans last season after he was signed to the team's active roster in January to help replace injured tight end MyCole Pruitt. In the two seasons prior, Izzo totaled 19 catches for 313 yards and one touchdown over 18 games with New England. The 26-year-old will now need to pass through waivers before hitting free agency.

Izzo agreed to a contract with the Titans on Tuesday, Doug Kyed of Pro Football Focus reports. The 26-year-old has been on the Seahawks' practice squad but will now join the Titans with MyCole Pruitt (ankle) placed on injured reserve. Izzo has yet to see game action this season and caught 13 passes for 199 yards with New England in 2020. He should work as Tennessee's No. 3 tight end behind Geoff Swaim and Anthony Firkser.

The Seahawks placed Izzo on the practice squad COVID-19 list Tuesday after he tested positive for the virus, John Boyle of the team's official site reports. Izzo will now enter the league's COVID-19 protocols and be unavailable for the time being. His absence will likely not have much of an impact on the Seahawks, as the tight end has yet to be elevated from the practice squad for any contests this season.
