Ozigbo was cut from the Lions' practice squad Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Ozigbo has bounced between the active roster and practice squad for Detroit since joining them in September. He saw action in three games, earning three carries for five yards and a catch on his lone target for an additional eight yards.

The Lions waived Ozigbo on Thursday. The move corresponds with the Lions signing linebacker Trevor Nowaske to the active roster from the practice squad. Ozigbo was signed to the Lions' active roster Monday after joining their practice squad on Sept. 20. If he clears waivers, Ozigbo could look to rejoin Detroit on its practice squad or explore his options elsewhere.

Detroit signed Ozigbo from its practice squad to the active roster Monday. With David Montgomery (ribs) and Zonovan Knight (shoulder) both out Monday, the Lions saw fit to bring Ozigbo up from the practice squad on a full-time basis. He'll compete with Craig Reynolds for carries behind Jahmyr Gibbs.

Ozigbo was elevated for a second straight week, failing to record a stat while playing 13 snaps on special teams in Detroit's 38-6 loss to Baltimore. If David Montgomery (ribs) can't go in Week 8 versus the Raiders, it's possible Ozigbo will once again be added to the active roster.

The 27-year-old could be in line to be called up ahead of Sunday's Week 8 matchup versus the Ravens, as both David Montgomery (ribs) and Jahmyr Gibbs (hamstring) are dealing with injuries.
