  • Antonio Callaway: Let go by Dallas

    The Cowboys cut Callaway on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Callaway ended the 2022 campaign on the Cowboys' practice squad and earned a reserve/future contract in January, but he's been let go ahead of mandatory minicamp. The 2018 fourth-round pick hasn't appeared in an NFL regular-season game since 2020. In a corresponding move, Dallas signed Tyron Johnson.

  • Dallas signed Callaway to a reserve/future contract Wednesday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports. Callaway reached an injury settlement with the Chiefs at the end of August, and after moving past a knee issue, he latched on with the Cowboys' practice squad in mid-November. He was never elevated during the regular season and hasn't seen NFL action since 2020, but with his new contract, he'll be able to stick around in Dallas' organization and compete for a roster spot during the offseason.

Callaway is nursing a bone bruise in his knee, but once healthy, he will be free to search for a role elsewhere this season. In five appearances with the Dolphins last season, Callaway secured two of four targets for 20 yards.
