Hudson has reached an agreement on a two-year deal with the Giants, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. The offensive tackle will provide depth to a New York line that dealt with injuries the last two years, per Garafolo. Hudson, who started 18 games in four seasons with the Browns, could compete with right tackle Evan Neal or swing tackle Jermaine Eluemunor. Hudson played in only four games last year after injuring his shoulder in September, though he appears to be healthy again.

Hudson hasn't been able to practice since aggravating his shoulder injury during the Browns' Week 4 loss to the Raiders. Now that Hudson has officially been ruled out for Week 6, expect Jedrick Wills (knee) or Germain Ifedi to serve as the Browns' top left tackle.

The left tackle missed the Browns' Week 5 loss to the Commanders after aggravating the injury in the team's Week 4 defeat to the Raiders. Last week, Cleveland coach Kevin Stefanski said Hudson could be placed on IR, per Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com. Hudson stepped in at left tackle after Jedrick Wills (knee) exited the game. The Browns continue to be decimated by injuries, especially to their offensive line, as they also lost Wyatt Teller (knee) during the game, while Jack Conklin (knee) remains out. Hudson was hurt on a passing play late in the second quarter and was subsequently ruled out from a return shortly after halftime. The fourth-year pro started the exhibition game at right tackle with projected regular-season starting tackles Jedrick Wills (knee) and Jack Conklin (knee) both on the active/PUP list. When all three players are healthy, Hudson is expected to work in a backup role.
