  • Damarea Crockett: Gets let go
    By RotoWire

Crockett was waived by the Jets on Thursday. Crockett joined New York as camp opened in July, but he was unable to make enough of an impact to stay in the hunt for a roster spot. The addition of Dalvin Cook on Monday probably didn't help his chances, either. He'll now work to find a new opportunity.

  • Crockett rushed four times for seven yards and didn't catch his only target in Thursday's 21-16 preseason loss to Cleveland. Crockett was looked at briefly by trainers in the fourth quarter after taking a big hit. The hit jarred the ball loose, but it went out of bounds. He was cleared to return to the game, so Crockett came out of the preseason opener healthy but no closer to competing for a roster spot given his modest output.

  • Crockett was signed by the Jets on Friday. Crockett was sidelined for the entire 2022 campaign after suffering a torn ACL during training camp with the Broncos. Now apparently back to health, he'll compete for a spot in a deep Jets running back room. Crockett last saw regular-season action with Denver in 2021, when he logged three carries for seven yards across 12 games.

  • Damarea Crockett: Let go by Denver
    By RotoWire

The Broncos waived Crockett on Monday, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports. Crockett spent the entire 2022 campaign on injured reserve due to a torn ACL, but he was waived without an injury designation, which suggests he's back to full strength. The undrafted product out of Missouri appeared in 12 games with the Broncos in 2021, playing primarily on special teams.

  • Crockett (knee) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports. Crockett suffered a torn ACL on Tuesday and is out for the 2022 season, so this move was simply a formality to open a roster spot. It's a tough break for the second-year pro, who was likely to serve primarily in a special teams role. Max Borghi was signed to replenish Denver's depth at running back.
