• Cowboys' Nathan Thomas: Returns to practice

  Thomas (knee) was participating fully in training camp Wednesday, Tyler Reed of Sports Illustrated reports. Thomas missed his entire rookie year with a knee injury, but he is now healthy and competing for reps at left tackle with Tyler Guyton (knee) out 4-to-6 weeks. The Louisiana native has impressed so far, standing his ground in drills against some of the Cowboys' top pass rushers such as Marshawn Kneeland and Donovan Ezeiruaku.

• Cowboys' Nathan Thomas: Placed on IR

  Thomas (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve by the Cowboys on Tuesday. Thomas picked up an undisclosed injury somewhere along the road this offseason and he'll now be forced to sit out the 2024 season as a result. The 23-year-old was selected in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft and he'll have to wait until 2025 to make his debut.

  The Cowboys selected Thomas in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 233rd overall. Thomas was a two-year starting left tackle at Louisiana, but it's possible the Cowboys opt to move him to guard as well. A physical blocker who relishes the point of contact, the 22-year-old seems to match Dallas' tonal scheme along the offensive line perfectly, and at minimum Thomas should provide depth at multiple positions up front.
