Gore played six games for the Commanders in 2023 and took three carries for 23 yards. Gore spent much of the season on the practice squad and got a few chances to work as Washington's No. 3 RB. Washington likely signed Gore to ensure depth at running back with Brian Robinson (hamstring) in line to miss his second consecutive game Sunday. He's either been third or fourth on the depth chart for most of the year and only got snaps on offense Week 11 because Antonio Gibson (toe) was inactive. Brian Robinson played 78 percent of snaps for Washington and took 24 touches for 131 yards.
