Jackson announced his retirement from professional football Wednesday as a member of the Eagles. The Eagles will hold a retirement ceremony for Jackson during Sunday's game against the 49ers. The 15-year veteran will long be remembered as one of the most explosive playmakers in NFL history. Jackson earned three Pro Bowl nods in his career and holds the NFL record for career touchdowns of 60-plus yards (26). He last suited up for Baltimore, for whom he appeared in seven games in 2022. In addition to Philadelphia and Baltimore, Jackson also had stints with Washington, Tampa Bay, Las Vegas and the Rams.

The Ravens waived Jackson (illness) on Saturday, Field Yates of ESPN reports. It's entirely possible Jackson could return to the Ravens provided he's able to pass through waivers. The veteran target played at least 10 offensive snaps in every game dating back to Week 12 and actually drew at least two targets in each one of those contests, but save for a deep reception back in Week 12, Jackson has been otherwise bottled up. Expect the Ravens to continue with their ground-oriented attack in Week 18 against the Bengals.

Jackson (illness) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals. Jackson missed all three of Baltimore's practices throughout the week due to an illness, and while it's encouraging that he wasn't ruled out entirely, his status may come down to a game-time decision. The veteran wide receiver's field-stretching abilities are unlikely to be utilized to their fullest Sunday, as starting quarterback Lamar Jackson (knee) remains out for a fifth consecutive game.

Jackson (illness) missed a third consecutive practice Friday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports. Jackson has been sidelined for the entire week of practice due to the illness. Even if he feels well enough to suit up for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Bengals, Jackson may play a limited role.

Jackson (illness) isn't practicing Thursday, Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Sun reports. Jackson's unspecified ailment has kept him away from the team for the first two days of Week 18 prep, but he'll still have a good chance to play Sunday against the Bengals if he's able to practice Friday in some capacity. Since making his season debut Week 9, Jackson has compiled a 9-153-0 receiving line on 17 targets through his first seven games with Baltimore.
