Suh is unlikely to sign with a team ahead of training camp, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports. "I have no desire to be in a training camp," Suh said Monday on NFL Total Access. "I will come in and watch and look and give some advice, but when Week 1 happens, I'll be ready." The 36-year-old was the No. 2 overall pick in 2010 by the Lions and has played for five different teams during his first 13 NFL seasons. He's been to three Super Bowls over the past five seasons and figures to be a luxury depth option for a contending team after appearing in eight games for the Eagles in 2022.

Suh (illness) has tested positive for COVID-19, independent NFL journalist Aaron Wilson reports. Suh was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list earlier Saturday and did not travel with the team to Houston. After confirmation of a positive test, his route back to Tampa Bay's roster is difficult. The 34-year-old may be able to clear protocols in time for the season opener Aug. 9, but his conditioning may be impacted by the illness.

Suh totaled five tackles (four solo), including one for loss, and also recorded a quarterback hit in the Buccaneers' 27-24 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday. The big defensive tackle tied his season high with Sunday's tackle tally. Suh has multiple stops in four of the last five games overall, and his four sacks leave him just two short of his best total over the last five seasons. Suh's interior-line spot does lend some uncertainty to his week-to-week production, but he's arguably more of a threat to get to the quarterback than many other players at his position.

Suh recorded a sack for his one tackle in the Buccaneers' 38-10 win over the Packers on Sunday. The big defensive tackle took down old nemesis Aaron Rodgers for his third sack of the season, renewing acquaintances with his old NFC North rival from Suh's days with the Lions. Suh's three QB takedowns through six games currently have him on pace to tie the third-best tally (eight) of his career in that category, one season after he posted a career-low 2.5 but offset it with a career-high two touchdowns and four fumble recoveries. Suh's single-game tackle numbers rarely go above five these days, but he always offers the possibility of wreaking havoc in the pocket with his athleticism and potentially producing a turnover.

Suh totaled five tackles (four solo), including two sacks, in the Buccaneers' 31-17 win over the Panthers on Sunday. The veteran lineman was in vintage form in the win versus the Panthers, nearly matching his sack total of 2.5 from last season in one afternoon. Suh's performance was a significant upgrade from a season-opening tally of just one tackle versus the Saints, and he'll look to keep pushing in the right direction against a Broncos team that might afford him plenty of run-stopping opportunities Week 3.
