    Rolando McClain: Has suspension lifted

Rolando McClain had his suspension lifted by the league Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.McClain was originally suspended in December of 2016 before being reinstated nearly three years later. He was subsequently released by the Cowboys, then suspended again in December of 2019. With his latest suspension now lifted, McClain is a free agent and is able to purse an opportunity with an NFL team. However, he's 34 years old and hasn't played in an NFL game since 2015, so his chances of latching on with an organization are more than slim.

Cowboys' Rolando McClain: Didn't report for camp

Rolando McClain (suspended) will be placed on the Dallas Cowboys' reserve/did not report list, ESPN.com reports.McClain has already been suspended for the first 10 games of the upcoming season, but was still expected to report for training camp Wednesday. Since McClain, who skipped most of Dallas' offseason program, remains away from the team, his status with the Cowboys going forward appears increasingly shaky. By placing McClain on the reserve/did not report list, the Cowboys have opened a roster spot, potentially for another linebacker, which, along with the recent signing of veteran Justin Durant, could make McClain more expendable.

Cowboys' Rolando McClain: Future uncertain in Dallas

The Dallas Cowboys have yet to decide whether or not to release Rolando McClain (suspension), The Ft. Worth Star-Telegram reports. There are some minor financial implications from cutting McClain, namely that the team wouldn't be able to recoup his signing bonus, but the bigger issue seems to be that Dallas isn't comfortable with any of its options to replace him at middle linebacker. If the Cowboys sign a reliable free agent (a reunion with Justin Durant has been rumored) or one of their younger LBs, such as Anthony Hitchens or Mark Nzeocha, takes a big leap forward in their development though, McClain could wash out of the NFL for good.
