49ers trim roster to 75 players Monday
The San Francisco 49ers made several moves to trim the roster to 75 players Monday. The team waived quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson, safety D.J. Campbell, tight end Kevin Greene, running back Jewel Hampton, punt Colton Schmidt, linebacker Kion Wilson and wide receiver Devon Wylie, while also releasing wide receiver David Reed. The team placed running back Marcus Lattimore, fullback Trey Millard, cornerback Keith Reaser and guard Brandon Thomas on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury List and linebacker NaVorro Bowman, tight end Garrett Celek and defensive tackle Kaleb Ramsey were placed on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform List. Linebacker Blake Costanzo was released from the Injured Reserve list.

Jake Locker to IR part of Titans' roster moves Tuesday
The Tennessee Titans made a slew of roster moves Tuesday. The Titans placed quarterback Jake Locker (foot) on injured reserve and waived offensive lineman Pat McQuistan. The Titans signed wide receiver Devon Wylie and center Kevin Matthews to the active roster, while re-signing Brandon Copeland to the practice squad.

Titans add Devon Wylie, cut Brandon Copeland
Tennessee has added wide receiver Devon Wylie to the practice squad on Tuesday, The Tennessean reports. The Tennessee Titans also waived linebacker Brandon Copeland from the practice squad.Wylie was waived following training camp this year and has already spent time on the practice squads of Arizona and Pittsburgh. He has some experience returning kicks as well.

Devon Wylie cut could mean Markus Wheaton return
The release Wednesday of Pittsburgh Steelers wideout Devon Wylie could signal the return of Markus Wheaton, who has been out the last three games with a finger injury. Wylie, who caught one pass for the Chiefs last year and worked as a kick returner, has been waived by Kansas City, Arizona and Pittsburgh in 2013.
