    Report: Panthers sign WR Mike Brown to futures contract

    The Carolina Panthers have signed wide receiver Mike Brown to a futures contract, according to jacksonville.com. Brown spent two seasons with the Jaguars, including 2013 when Brown caught 32 passes for 446 yards and two touchdowns.  He played sparingly in 2014, catching just seven passes for 88 yards in five games for Jacksonville.

    Jaguars dump WR Brown, promote WR Streeter

    The Jacksonville Jaguars have released Mike Brown and signed fellow wide receiver Tommy Streeter from their practice squad. Brown has been a disappointment this season after catching 32 passes a year ago. He caught seven passes for 88 yards in the first five games combined and has not played since.

    Jaguars inactive list for Week 10 features three injured

    Three ailing Jacksonville Jaguars have been placed on the inactive list for their Sunday game against Dallas. They are guard Brandon Linder (shoulder), defensive end Andre Branch (groin) and linebacker Jeremiah George (ankle). All three had been ruled out earlier in the week. The healthy scratches are offensive tackle Sam Young, cornerback Tommie Campbell, running back Storm Johnson and wideout Mike Brown.

    Jaguars pass catchers contribute in loss

    The Jacksonville Jaguars backup pass catchers were able to get in some work Week 4. Jacksonville spread the ball around quite a bit, allowing 10 different receivers to come up with a reception. Allen Robinson made some noise, hauling in five passes for 38 yards. He was targeted seven times, which was second on the club.  Mike Brown had one catch for 12 yards. Fullback Will Ta'ufo'ou also hauled in one pass, gaining 4 yards. Nic Jacobs had the least yardage of all receivers on the day, but had the only touchdown. In the second quarter, Jacobs came down with a 2 yard touchdown pass from Blake Bortles. They'll take on the Steelers Week 5.

    Jaguars backup receivers do little

    The Jacksonville Jaguars backup pass catchers did little Week 3 against the Colts. Will Ta'ufo'ou managed one catch for 28 yards. Mike Brown also had one catch, picking up 14 yards. Marcel Jensen gained 8 yards on one reception.  They'll take on the Chargers Week 4.

    Mike Brown has 36 yards in Week 1

    Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Mike Brown had three catches on five targets for 36 yards Sunday at the Eagles. He'll try for more next week when Jacksonville visits Washington.
