Bengals' Khalil Herbert: Plays four offensive snaps in loss

Khalil Herbert failed to record a single rushing attempt or target in Sunday's 34-27 loss to the Chargers.Herbert was not a part of the Cincinnati Bengals' offensive game plan Sunday, as the veteran running back still has yet to see a single touch on offense for Cincinnati. Herbert did, however, gain 29 yards on his only kick return in the contest. It's possible that the 26-year-old may still be taking time to get acclimated into the Bengals' offense, but it is surprising to see such limited playing time for a player that the Bengals traded for ahead of the trade deadline. Meanwhile, fellow running back Chase Brown has continued to see a massive workload as Cincinnati's lead back. Herbert will look to get more involved in the offense when the Bengals come out of their Week 12 bye to face the Steelers on Dec. 1.

Bengals' Khalil Herbert: Sees just two snaps in team debut

Khalil Herbert didn't record a carry or a target in Thursday's Week 10 loss to Baltimore.Herbert joined Cincinnati in a trade between the Cincinnati Bengals and Bears on Tuesday, and he was able to suit up just two days later. However, Herbert didn't make the best first impression, as he couldn't grasp the ball on a handoff from QB Joe Burrow in the second quarter. The fumble was questionably charged to Burrow, and Herbert was credited with the recovery after he fell on top of the ball, but that was essentially the extent of Herbert's involvement in the contest (he logged just one other snap). The fourth-year running back has a chance to grow into a significantly larger role once he gets more accustomed to the Bengals' playbook, especially with Zack Moss (neck) landing on injured reserve Tuesday, but Chase Brown figures to remain heavily involved after tallying 94 total yards from scrimmage and scoring a touchdown in Thursday's loss.

Bengals' Khalil Herbert: Active versus Baltimore

Khalil Herbert is active for Thursday night's game against the Ravens.Though he just joined the Cincinnati Bengals on Tuesday in a trade with the Bears, Herbert has absorbed enough of his new team's offense to enter the backfield mix in short order. In his new locale, Herbert will help fill the void created by the absence of Zack Moss (neck), who is on IR and could miss the rest of season. In that context, Herbert is in line to step into a complementary role behind Chase Brown that should grow as the season progresses.

Bengals' Khalil Herbert: On track to play Thursday

Khalil Herbert is expected to play Thursday night against the Ravens, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.Per Fowler, Herbert, who joined the Cincinnati Bengals on Tuesday via a trade with the Bears, worked aggressively over the past few days to get up to speed with his new team's offense, paving the way for him to step right into the lineup in Week 10. With Zack Moss (neck) on IR and a candidate to miss the rest of season, Herbert is slated to step into a complementary role in a backfield led by Chase Brown. It remains to be seen how heavy a workload he'll see in his anticipated debut with Cincinnati, but in his new locale Herbert could end up seeing enough volume as the season progresses to resurface on the fantasy radar.

Bengals' Khalil Herbert: Headed to Cincinnati

The Cincinnati Bengals acquired Khalil Herbert from the Bears on Tuesday in exchange for a 2025 seventh-round draft pick, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.A healthy inactive for both of the Bears' last two games, Herbert was the odd man out in a Chicago backfield that also included D'Andre Swift, Roschon Johnson and Travis Homer. With the move to Cincinnati, Herbert will likely step in to provide valuable depth and experience behind Chase Brown. Herbert should settle in as the No. 2 option ahead of Trayveon Williams and Kendall Milton with Zack Moss (neck) expected to miss at least the rest of the regular season, per Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

    Bears' Khalil Herbert: Inactive Sunday

Khalil Herbert is inactive for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. With Herbert a healthy scratch Sunday, D'Andre Swift, Roschon Johnson and Travis Homer are available to handle the Chicago Bears' backfield duties against Arizona. As the NFL trade deadline approaches, it's possible that Herbert could be dealt by Chicago in the coming days.

Bears' Khalil Herbert: Healthy scratch Sunday

Khalil Herbert (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game in Washington.Herbert hasn't earned a touch since Week 3, and fellow running back Travis Homer is back in action Sunday, so the former will don street clothes for the first time this season while the latter is available along with D'Andre Swift and Roschon Johnson out of the Chicago Bears backfield. Herbert's next chance for game action is next Sunday at Arizona.

Bears' Khalil Herbert: Another poor perfromance

Khalil Herbert rushed for times for nine yards in the Chicago Bears' 21-16 loss to the Colts on Sunday. After largely serving as the Bears' No. 2 running back in Weeks 1 and 2, Herbert was the third-stringer in this contest. On the season, Herbert has eight carries for 17 yards and a touchdown. With minimal usage and low production, Herbert's fantasy value is as low as it's been at any point during his four years in Chicago.

Bears' Khalil Herbert: Finds end zone

Khalil Herbert rushed two times for three yards and a touchdown along with two catches for four yards in the Chicago Bears' 19-13 loss to the Texans on Sunday.Herbert played just nine percent of the snaps, and other than the short touchdown he scored, he was ineffective on limited work. In terms of playing time, Herbert played 20 percent fewer snaps than Travis Homer, as Homer has emerged as the No. 2 running back over the first two games. Unless Herbert sees more playing time, he'll be difficult to trust in fantasy lineups.

Bears' Khalil Herbert: Minimal work in season opener

Khalil Herbert rushed twice for four yards in the Chicago Bears' 24-17 win over the Titans on Sunday. With Roschon Johnson listed as a healthy scratch, Herbert served in a backfield committee. Herbert joined Travis Homer and wide receiver Velus Jones as teammates who also had two carries each behind starter D'Andre Swift. Based on Week 1 usage, it appears that Herbert may not be in line for significant work unless other running backs on the team miss time.
