Patriots' Drake Maye: Erupts for five TDs in rout

Drake Maye completed 26 of 34 passes for 374 yards and four touchdowns while adding 25 yards and another TD on seven carries in Sunday's 45-17 win over the Raiders. The second-year QB has completely erased his early-season struggles, leading the New England Patriots to a 21-7 halftime lead and not taking his foot off the gas the rest of the way. Maye completed at least three passes to six different targets, hitting DeMario Douglas for two of his TDs and tossing one each to Hunter Henry and Kyle Williams, and he added a three-yard score of his own in the third quarter. Maye's rushing touchdown was his first of the year, and seven of his eight passing TDs have come in the last two weeks after he began the campaign with a 1:6 TD:INT over his first three contests. Maye will look to stay locked in for a Week 6 clash with the Jets.

Patriots' Drake Maye: Three-TD day in Week 4 win

Drake Maye completed 22 of 37 passes for 269 yards with three touchdowns and one interception while adding eight rushes for 54 yards in the New England Patriots' 29-26 win over the Bills on Sunday. He threw a two-point conversion pass and committed three fumbles, losing one and recovering the other two.Maye's eclectic stat line was reflective of New England's topsy-turvy win, one where the Patriots overcame a 17-7 halftime deficit and recorded the game-winning touchdown with 1:50 remaining to seal the comeback victory. The previously embattled 2024 first-round pick's day started off in positive fashion with a 14-yard touchdown pass to Romeo Doubs to cap off New England's first possession, and he went back to Doubs from two yards out in the third quarter to bring New England within three. However, the Patriots were in danger of falling to 1-3 on the season when they found themselves down 26-21 as late as the two-minute warning, but Maye was able to connect with Efton Chism for a 23-yard scoring strike that the young receiver snared with one hand down the right sideline with 1:50 remaining. Maye's performance was a much needed bounce-back effort after he went into the game having thrown for no more than 208 yards in any of his first three games while generating a 1:6 TD:INT, and he'll look to carry over the momentum into a Week 5 home showdown against the surprisingly resurgent Raiders next Sunday.

Patriots' Drake Maye: Good to go for Week 4

Drake Maye (shoulder) was a full participant in Friday's practice and does not have an injury designation for Sunday's game against Buffalo.Maye practiced fully all week but is fighting through a right shoulder issue early in the season. The runner-up for MVP honors last season, Maye has been a colossal fantasy disappointment through three weeks and will now face a Bills defense that generates pressure at a high clip.

Patriots' Drake Maye: On injury report, but practices fully

Drake Maye was listed with a right shoulder injury on the New England Patriots' initial Week 4 practice report but was a full participant.Though he took every rep Wednesday and is on track to start Sunday's game in Buffalo, the lingering shoulder injury could at least partially explain Maye's rough start to the season. After finishing as the runner-up to the Rams' Matthew Stafford in the MVP balloting in 2025, Maye has been an early disappointment for fantasy managers, completing 63.7 percent of his passes for 585 yards while posting a 1:6 TD:INT and losing a fumble through the Patriots' first three games. A road game against the undefeated Bills doesn't exactly represent a great bounce-back opportunity for Maye, who will face pressure from a Bills pass rush led by NFL sack leader Greg Rousseau.

Patriots' Drake Maye: Mistake-filled afternoon in loss

Drake Maye completed 14 of 25 passes for 199 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions and added four carries for 18 yards in the New England Patriots' 35-6 loss to the Jaguars on Sunday. He also committed two fumbles, losing one.Maye's rough afternoon also included three sacks, and the multi-interception tally was already his second of the first three games of the new season. The 2024 first-round pick was only able to lead his team to two field goals, and two of his three turnovers were followed by Jaguars touchdowns on the ensuing drive. It's clear Maye misses No. 1 target A.J. Brown (IR, ankle), and although the latter's absence wasn't anywhere near as impactful in a Week 2 win over the Steelers where the defense held Pittsburgh to three points, it was glaring in a game where New England needed to consistently score points. Brown is still slated to miss several more games, and Maye will have plenty of pressure on him in a Week 4 road matchup against Josh Allen and the Bills.

Patriots' Drake Maye: Fails to throw TD in Week 2 win

Drake Maye completed 14 of 22 passes for 208 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 20-3 win over the Steelers.Maye didn't get much going through the air and was picked off on the first possession of the second half, but the New England Patriots rode their defense and running game to a comfortable win. Romeo Doubs stepped up at wide receiver with 96 of Maye's 208 yards through the air in the absence of A.J. Brown (ankle), who is expected to miss six weeks due to an ankle injury sustained in the Week 1 loss to Seattle. Maye is averaging just 193 passing yards and takes a 1:4 TD:INT into a Week 3 road game against the Jaguars.

Patriots' Drake Maye: Trio of critical INTs in loss

Drake Maye completed 23 of 33 passes for 178 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions while rushing seven times for 47 yards in the New England Patriots' 13-10 loss to the Seahawks on Wednesday. The third-year signal-caller carried out a conservative game plan with reasonable efficacy for three quarters before unraveling with a trio of fourth-quarter interceptions. Maye didn't throw a pass until the first play of New England's second possession, and he lost prized offseason addition A.J. Brown on the first series of the second half due to an ankle injury. The first two of Maye's interceptions led to Seattle's last 10 points of the night, and his final pick came on a poorly thrown lob into the end zone with 26 seconds remaining when it appeared New England was perfectly positioned for a game-tying field-goal attempt that would have forced overtime. Maye's three interceptions were a single-game career-high for the 2024 first-round pick, and it remains to be seen if he'll have Brown available for the Patriots' Week 2 home opener against the Steelers on Sunday, Sept. 20.

Patriots' Drake Maye: Doesn't play in exhibition finale

Drake Maye sat out Thursday's preseason loss to Cleveland.Unsurprisingly, Maye was among the plethora of New England starters who didn't see action in the team's final exhibition game. The star quarterback ended up sitting out all three of the team's preseason contests as he prepares for the regular season. Maye's first chance to get into game action with new top wideouts A.J. Brown and Romeo Doubs will take place Week 1 versus Seattle on Wednesday, Sept. 9.
