Sydney Brown (knee) will open the regular season on the reserve/PUP list, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.Brown is still recovering from offseason surgery to repair an ACL injury and he'll now be forced to miss at least four games to open the season. The safety will be first eligible to return Week 5 versus the Browns on Oct. 13.

Sydney Brown (knee) will be placed on the active/PUP list at the start of training camp, Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com reports.This move isn't surprising, as Brown underwent surgery on his ACL in late January. It's not yet clear if the second-year safety will be ready for the start of the regular season, but he can be activated off the PUP list at any time in the preseason, at which point he'd be eligible to practice and participate in exhibition contests.
