Byron Young was claimed off waivers by the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday.Young was waived by the Raiders on Wednesday after posting three total tackles (two solo), including a sack, with Las Vegas during preseason. Now with Philadelphia, the defensive lineman will compete with Jordan Davis for snaps at nose tackle in 2024.

Byron Young (undisclosed) was activated from the active/PUP list by the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal report.Young began training camp on the active/PUP list due to an undisclosed injury, but he was able to pass a physical and participate in practice Sunday. It wouldn't be surprising to see him suit up for the preseason opener against the 49ers next Sunday.
