Ravens' Keaton Mitchell: No role in offense yet
Keaton Mitchell did not get a touch on two offensive snaps Sunday against the Steelers. The Baltimore Ravens continue to slow-play Mitchell's reintroduction to the offense. Through two games, Mitchell has zero touches on three offensive snaps. He's been involved in the kick return game, but his role in the offense has been minimal since returning from a significant knee injury last December. The Ravens have two more games before the bye -- at the Chargers in Week 12 and home against the Eagles in Week 13 -- so it's possible that Mitchell will start to get more involved down the stretch. In the meantime, though, Mitchell is buried on the running back depth chart.

Ravens' Keaton Mitchell: Limited snaps in return
In his return to action in Thursday's 35-34 win over the Bengals, Keaton Mitchell logged two snaps on offense and seven on special teams, Ryan Mink of the Baltimore Ravens' official site reports. It's not surprising that in his first game back since having suffered a torn ACL in his left knee Week 15 of the 2023 campaign, Mitchell -- who didn't record a carry or target Thursday -- was eased back into the mix. The 22-year-old speedster did return one kickoff for 30 yards, and he'll likely see incrementally more snaps in the coming weeks. However, with Derrick Henry entrenched as the Ravens' lead back and Justice Hill working in a change-of-pace role, it may be a while before Mitchell sees enough volume to merit fantasy lineup consideration.

Ravens' Keaton Mitchell: Active for Thursday's game
Keaton Mitchell (knee) is active for Thursday night's game against the Bengals. After being activated from the reserve/PUP list ahead of the contest, Mitchell is slated to see his first game action since suffering a torn ACL in his left knee in Week 15 of the 2023 campaign. While he's no threat to Derrick Henry's perch atop the Baltimore Ravens' RB depth chart, Mitchell should be able to carve out a complementary role in the team's backfield alongside Justice Hill. In such a capacity, Mitchell initially will carry modest fantasy lineup upside, but his presence going forward should, at a minimum, provide Baltimore's ground game with a welcome boost in terms of speed and depth.

Ravens' Keaton Mitchell: Activated from PUP list
Keaton Mitchell (knee) was activated from the reserve/PUP list ahead of Thursday's game against the Bengals, Ryan Mink of the Baltimore Ravens' official site reports.Mitchell remains listed as questionable after he was a full practice participant this week, but he's poised to make his season debut versus Cincinnati nonetheless. Official confirmation of his Week 10 status will arrive once the Ravens' inactive list is posted ahead of Thursday's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff. Before tearing the ACL in his left knee last December, Mitchell had been in the midst of a promising rookie season in which he carried 47 times for 396 yards (8.4 YPC) and two touchdowns to go with nine receptions for 93 yards on 11 targets over eight games. Now that he's healthy, Mitchell will fill a change-of-pace role behind lead back Derrick Henry.

Ravens' Keaton Mitchell: Chance to play in Week 10
Head coach John Harbaugh said Monday that Keaton Mitchell (knee) has a chance to play in Thursday's game against the Bengals, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.Mitchell practiced in full all week but wasn't activated from the PUP list ahead of Sunday's blowout win over the Broncos. He was designated to return from the PUP list Oct. 23, and Harbaugh's comments suggest that the running back could be ready to make his season debut Week 10. If Mitchell is activated for Thursday's contest, he'll likely serve as the team's No. 3 running back behind Derrick Henry and Justice Hill.

Ravens' Keaton Mitchell: Won't return for Week 9
Keaton Mitchell (knee) wasn't activated from the PUP list ahead of Sunday's matchup versus Denver, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.Mitchell continues to make progress in his recovery from last December's torn ACL, and he was able to log a trio of full practices this week. Per Zrebiec, Baltimore is opting to give Mitchell more practice time before activating him, and he still has 11 days left on his 21-day practice window before the team has to make a decision on him, according to Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com. The Baltimore Ravens have a quick turnaround after Sunday's contest with a Thursday matchup against Cincinnati in Week 10, and Mitchell isn't guaranteed to be cleared for that contest.

Ravens' Keaton Mitchell: Full practice participant Wednesday
Keaton Mitchell (knee) was listed as a full practice participant on Wednesday's injury report.Keaton began the regular season on the reserve/PUP list while in the final stages of his recovery from a torn ACL in his left knee that he sustained in Week 15 of the 2023 campaign. His 21-day practice window opened Oct. 23, and while he was a limited participant all of last week, he was able to practice without restrictions Wednesday. If he's able to log full practices over the next two days, there's a chance he could be activated off IR and make his 2024 regular-season debut against the Broncos on Sunday. If he does return, Mitchell would serve as the Baltimore Ravens' No. 3 running back behind Derrick Henry and Justice Hill.

Ravens' Keaton Mitchell: Practice window opened Wednesday
The Baltimore Ravens designated Keaton Mitchell (knee) for return from injured reserve Wednesday, Ryan Mink of the team's official site reports.Mitchell -- who has been recovering from an ACL tear suffered last December -- took part in his practice of the 2024 season Wednesday, participating in a limited fashion. Head coach John Harbaugh has already ruled out Mitchell for Sunday's game against the Browns, but Wednesday's transaction officially opens the running back's 21-day evaluation window. Assuming Mitchell is eventually added back to the 53-man roster before the 21-day window closes, it's unclear what his role will be with Derrick Henry and Justice Hill both performing exceptionally as the one-two punch out of Baltimore's backfield. Unless Henry and/or Hill succumb to an injury, Mitchell could struggle to find enough snaps to deliver fantasy utility.

Ravens' Keaton Mitchell: Won't play Week 8
Head coach John Harbaugh said Wednesday that Keaton Mitchell (knee) won't play Sunday against the Browns, Jonas Shaffer of the Baltimore Banner reports.Harbaugh added that Mitchell is set to go full speed in practice Thursday, after which point the team will have a better indication of a potential timetable for the second-year running back's return from a torn ACL suffered last December. The Baltimore Ravens are hoping Mitchell will come back prior to the expiration of his 21-day window to return from the PUP list, which will open when he officially starts practicing.

Ravens' Keaton Mitchell: Set to resume practicing
Keaton Mitchell (knee) is in line to return to practice this week, Ryan Mink of the Baltimore Ravens' official site reports.Mitchell, who suffered an ACL tear last December, is on the PUP list, but once he's back at practice, the running back's 21-day window for reinstatement to the 53-man roster will open. Per Mink, Mitchell will likely need a multi-week ramp-up period before returning to game action, but once the 22-year-old is deemed ready, he'll provide the Ravens with backfield depth behind Derrick Henry and Justice Hill.
