Cincinnati Bengals tight end Alex Smith suffered a biceps injury in the first half Week 2 vs. Atlanta and was ruled out for the rest of the game. He did not receive a target in the game. Smith, who has been getting more playing time with Tyler Eifert sidelined by an elbow injury, didn't have a catch Week 1 at Baltimore either.

Bengals bring back Alex Smith
The Cincinnati Bengals on Tuesday re-signed tight end Alex Smith , who had become an unrestricted free agent when his 2013 Cincinnati contract expired. Smith is a 10th-year NFL player in 2014, in his second season with Cincinnati. He joined the Bengals as an unrestricted free agent from Cleveland for 2013 and played in every regular season game, with two starts. He caught 13 passes for 47 yards."Alex played significant snaps for us last year, and it’s good to get him back in the fold," said Bengals coach Marvin Lewis. "He’s ready to go physically, and it's mini-camp week, so he jumps right back in there for us."Smith has 119 NFL games played, with 57 starts. He has 160 receptions for 1,461 yards and 12 touchdowns. He is expected to be No. 3 on the depth chart behind Tyler Eifert and Jermaine Gresham.

The Cincinnati Bengals signed defensive tackle Ogemdi Nwagbuo, a fourth-year Michigan State product who's played in 36 NFL games. Cincinnati also placed defensive tackle Devon Still (back) and tight end Alex Smith (wrist) on the reserve/injured list.

Half-dozen Bengals probable for clash against Ravens
The Cincinnati Bengals have listed six players as probable for their Week 17 battle against Baltimore, including defensive end Carlos Dunlap (illness), linebacker James Harrison (concussion) and cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick (ankle).
