Josh Wilson (knee) has been placed on season-ending injured reserve, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.With Rashean Mathis (concussion) already on injured reserve and Nevin Lawson (concussion) in danger of missing Week 11, the Detroit Lions badly need to add depth at a position that wasn't exactly a strength to begin with. Wilson had been serving as the team's nickelback.

Josh Wilson signs one-year deal with Lions
The Detroit Lions have signed former Falcons cornerback Josh Wilson to a one-year deal on Friday, per the team's official website. Wilson, 30, played for four different teams (Seahawks, Ravens, Redskins, Falcons) before signing with Detroit on Friday. He totaled 426 tackles in 118 career games with 85 starts. He posted 27 tackles and one interception in 16 games (four starts) for the Falcons in 2014.

Falcons list five as questionable for regular season finale
Atlanta Falcons running back Steven Jackson and wide receiver Julio Jones are both listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers. Jackson was unable to practice throughout the week and Jones practiced on a limited basis Friday. Guard Jon Asamoah (back) and cornerbacks Robert McClain (illness) and Josh Wilson (hamstring) are all questionable as well. Kicker Matt Bryant (illness) and wide receivers Roddy White (ankle) and Harry Douglas (foot) are considered probable for Sunday. The Falcons are currently 3-point favorites against the Panthers in Week 17.

The Atlanta Falcons have listed three wide receivers on its final injury report for Week 16 against New Orleans. Julio Jones (hip) was the only wideout that failed to practice this week and was deemed questionable. Roddy White (knee) and Harry Douglas (foot) were ruled probable. Meanwhile, the rest of the injury report included safety William Moore (foot) and guard Jon Asamoah (back) as questionable. Cornerback Josh Wilson (hand) was designated as probable.

Atlanta Falcons wide receivers Harry Douglas (foot) and Devin Hester (ankle), both of whom practiced on a limited basis Thursday and Friday, have been deemed questionable for the Sunday game at Carolina. The only other questionable player is cornerback Josh Wilson (ankle). Tackle Jonathan Scott (hamstring) has been ruled out while fellow offensive lineman Justin Blalock (foot) and defensive end Jonathan Massaquoi (foot) are probable.

Falcons still unsettled at nickel corner
The Atlanta Falcons have yet to settle on a winner of the competition for nickel cornerback duties, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. "I think we still have a lot of decisions to make in terms of who is going to be our nickel," head coach Mike Smith said. "We are going to rotate it a little bit differently than what we did in the first (exhibition) games. This is Arenas' chance to get his reps in there. Then we’ll make a decision going into the fourth preseason game on who is going to be our starter at nickel." Robert McClain, Josh Wilson and Javier Arenas are competing for the job.

The Washington Redskins are not expected to re-sign free agent cornerback Josh Wilson, reports ESPN.com. Wilson started all 16 games, making 92 tackles and an interception, "but his coverage skills were just O.K.," the report said. If Wilson, who turns 29 next month, moves on, second-year corner David Amerson likely would start.
