Josh Scobee: To retire as Jaguar
Josh Scobee will retire on April 13 after signing a one-day contract with the Jaguars.Scobee is Jacksonville's all-time scoring leader with 1,022 points, which he accumulated from 2002-14. The 34-year-old was traded to the Steelers in 2015, only to be released after performing poorly through his first four games. Although Scobee hasn't played since then, he'll get to end his career in fitting fashion with the Jaguars next month.

Josh Scobee was released by the Saints on Tuesday, Katherine Terrell of the Times-Picayune reports.Scobee signed on with the Saints back in March but will once again be a free agent as it appears the team is confident heading forward with Kai Forbath as the lone kicker on the roster. The veteran Scobee will hope to find his way onto another team in search of some competition at kicker as training camps near.

That said, the report suggests that the Saints plan to bring in some competition for Scobee, so he's hardly a lock to secure the team's kicking job for 2016.

Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Josh Scobee connected on 2 of 4 field goals (36, 45) and 2 of 2 extra points in the 23-20 overtime loss to Baltimore on Thursday.Scobee's two misses, from 41 and 49 yards, came on consecutive fourth quarter drives that would have forced the Baltimore Ravens to score a touchdown, rather than the Justin Tucker field goal that sent the game to overtime. The misses also seemed to cause coach Mike Tomlin to lose faith in his kicker, opting to forego field goal attempts on two overtime possessions, both of which ended with failed fourth down attempts. Scobee is now 6 of 10 on field goal attempts and 6 of 7 on extra points. Even if the Steelers don't bring any other kickers in to compete for the job, Scobee is a risky fantasy play.

Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Josh Scobee converted 3 of 4 extra points in the Steelers' 43-18 win over the 49ers Sunday. Although the Pittsburgh offense exploded, it gave Scobee few scoring chances. After scoring touchdowns on four of their first five drives, Pittsburgh opted to go for two point conversions on two of them. When they finally did give Scobee an opportunity he missed, hitting the upright. He did not attempt a field goal against San Francisco and, after missing two field goals in Week 1, fantasy owners may want to look elsewhere for a kicker.

Jaguars trade kicker Josh Scobee to Steelers
Kicker has been a trouble spot for the Pittsburgh Steelers this preseason, and with their second player going down at the position, the team reached a deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars to acquire veteran Josh Scobee. The Steelers lost incumbent Shaun Suisham to a torn ACL in the Hall of Fame game, and Saturday, replacement Garrett Hartley injured his hamstring on a kickoff, putting Pittsburgh in desperation mode. Scobee had been with the Jags since 2004, and was 20 of 26 on field goals last season.

Jaguars K Josh Scobee scores three points vs. Titans
Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee was limited to just three extra points in his team's 21-13 win over the Titans in Week 16. It was the third time this season Scobee wasn't called upon to attempt a field goal. Thursday's win marked just the second time this season Scobee kicked three extra points in a game. Jaguars' Josh Scobee hits four field goals Week 15
Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee was one of the few offensive highlights for the team Week 15. Scobee was able to hit four field goals. He hit twice from 45 yards out, and two more times from 53 yards away. Scobee had a shot at another field goal, but couldn't hit from 42 yards out. He'll take on the Titans Week 16.
