Report: D.J. Williams won't return to Chicago in 2015
The Chicago Bears have informed veteran middle linebacker D.J. Williams he will not return to Chicago next season, a source told ESPN on Tuesday. WIlliams' season came to an end last year after he suffereda neck injury soon after he returned from a concussion. He remains interested in resuming his playing career, and has received interest from other clubs in free agency.

Bears MLB D.J. Williams done for year with neck injury
A neck injury has landed Chicago Bears middle linebacker D.J. Williams on season-ending injured reserve. Williams, who had recently returned from a concussion, started all but two games this season and finishes it having contributed to 46 tackles. He had no sacks or interceptions, however.

Bears LB D.J. Williams returns Week 14
Chicago Bears linebacker D.J. Williams was able to return on Thursday against the Cowboys. Williams left the game early in the first quarter, and was taken back to the locker room to be evaluated for a concussion. Williams was cleared, and was able to return to the contest.

Chicago Bears linebacker D.J. Williams is being evaluated for a concussion. Williams left the game near the end of the first quarter. He was looked at by trainers on the field, and was able to walk off. He went back to the locker room, and is currently being evaluated by the team's medical staff.

Bears relatively healthy heading into Week 7 against Miami
The Chicago Bears have ruled linebacker Lance Briggs (ribs) and defensive back Chris Conte (shoulder) out for Week 7 at home against Miami. Linebacker Jon Bostic, who is nursing a back injury, was the only player listed as questionable on the injury report for Chicago. The following players have been ruled probable for Sunday: Tackle Jermon Bushrod (knee, ankle), safety Ahmad Dixon (hamstring), running back Matt Forte (not injury related), linebacker Shea McClellin (hand), cornerback Sherrick McManis (quadricep, knee), tackle Jordan Mills (foot), defensive tackle Stephen Paea (not injury related) and linebacker D.J. Williams (neck).

Bears announce Week 6 inactives vs. Falcons
The Chicago Bears have listed the following players as inactive for Sunday's Week 6 matchup with the Falcons: offensive tackle Jermon Bushrod, cornerback Sherrick McManis, safety Ahmad Dixon (hamstring) and linebackers Lance Briggs (ribs), D.J. Williams (neck), Shea McClellin (hand) and Jon Bostic (back). Williams had been listed as probable and Bostic as questionable on the team's final injury report, but they join Briggs and McClellin on the inactive list to leave the Bears without the team's top four linebackers. Cornerback Sherrick McManis (quad) is active after being listed as questionable, while safety Chris Conte (concussion), center Roberto Garza (ankle) and defensive tackle Jay Ratliff (concussion) are also active after being listed as probable.

The Chicago Bears have downgraded linebacker D.J. Williams to questionable Week 6. Williams had been probable due to a neck injury, but his status is in danger for Sunday. The club also brought up a linebacker from the practice squad, hinting that Williams may be unable to go against the Falcons.

The Friday injury report issued by the Chicago Bears for their Week 6 game at Atlanta is headlined by the thumbs-down given to linebackers Lance Briggs (ribs) and Shea McClellin (hand). But they are not the only Chicago players ruled out. Also red-lighted are offensive linemen Jermon Bushrod (knee/ankle) and Taylor Boggs (hamstring) and safety Ahmad Dixon (hamstring). The questionables are linebacker Jon Bostic (back) and cornerback Sherrick McManis (quad). Safety Chris Conte (concussion), offensive lineman Roberto Garza (ankle), nose tackle Jay Ratliff (concussion) and linebacker D.J. Williams (neck) are all probable.

As anticipated, Chicago Bears linebacker D.J. Williams has been given the thumbs-up to play in Week 5 against the Panthers. He practiced in full the last two days in overcoming a neck ailment that had him designated as probable.

The Chicago Bears have listed four players as probable for Week 5. Jared Allen, Lance Briggs, Chris Conte and D.J. Williams should all be able to go during the contest. Allen missed last week's game due to an illness. Offensive lineman Matt Slauson is considered questionable coming into the game.
