    Miami Dolphins safety Louis Delmas suffered a torn ACL in practice Wednesday and will miss the 2015 season, according to multiple reports. Delmas, who has a history of knee issues, missed the end of the 2014 season with a torn ACL.

    Miami Dolphins safety Louis Delmas, who signed a one-year, $3.5 million deal with Miami, told reporters that his knee is ahead of scheduled, and that he's expected to be ready for the start of the 2015 season, according to ESPN.  "The knee is great," said Delmas, who had 2014 his season cut short with a torn ACL in December. "My doctors and my training staff have been doing a great job of managing me and making sure I'm doing everything protocol-wise to be able to play the first game of the season. "I definitely know that I will be ready for the first game of the season."

    Reports: Dolphins re-sign RB LaMichael James, S Louis Delmas

    The Miami Dolphins have re-signed running back LaMichael James and starting safety Louis Delmas on Friday, according to the Miami Herald and NFL Media, respectively. Delmas' deal is reportedly worth $3.5 million for one year, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.  James, 25, signed with the Dolphins after San Francisco parted ways with him after the opening week of last season. He totaled five carries for nine yards in three games. Delmas, 27, signed with the Dolphins last offseason and started in 12 of his 13 appearances. He registered 49 total tackles, one sack, one interceptions (for a TD) and three passes defensed.

Delmas was carted off the field Sunday after suffering a knee injury and did not return. If the belief of a torn ACL proves true, Delmas will miss the remainder of the season and quite possibility the beginning of next season.

    Louis Delmas to sign one-year deal with Miami

    Former Detroit Lions safety Louis Delmas agreed to terms on a one-year, $3.5 million deal with the Miami Dolphins, according to Pro Football Talk on Monday. Delmas was a full-time starter with Detroit in 2013, finishing the season with 64 tackles and three interceptions.
