    Chris Owens will sign with the New Orleans Saints, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.Owens was most recently with Detroit, where he was eventually placed on IR only to be released in late-October. The defense back most recently saw playing time with the Chiefs in 2014, when he accumulated 33 combined tackles over 11 games.

    Lions place CB Chris Owens on IR, release eight players

    The Detroit Lions placed cornerback Chris Owens on injured reserve Monday. They also released tight end Deon Butler, quarterback Garrett Gilbert, receiver Vernon Johnson, running back Desmond Martin, defensive tackle Roy Philon, cornerback Jocquel Skinner, cornerback R.J. Stanford and defensive end Erik Williams.

    Lions sign WR Greg Salas, CB Chris Owens

    The Detroit Lions have signed two veterans - wideout Greg Salas and cornerback Chris Owens - per the Detroit Free Press. The team later confirmed the report. Salas last played with the Jets. He compiled his most productive numbers since his rookie year last season, but that only amounted to eight catches for 167 yards. Owens has played with four different teams over the last four seasons, but did get into 11 games with Kansas City in 2014. He has not recorded an interception since 2010.

    Chiefs list 10 players as probable for Sunday at Pittsburgh

    The Kansas City Chiefs listed the following players as probable for Sunday’s game at Pittsburgh: Allen Bailey, Jamaal Charles, Anthony Fasano, Zach Fulton, Phillip Gaines, Jaye Howard, Josh Mauga, Joe Mays, Chris Owens and Sean Smith. Wide receiver Dwayne Bowe (illness) and linebacker Tamba Hali (knee) are the only players listed as questionable. The Chiefs did not list any players as doubtful or out. The Chiefs are 3-point underdogs.

    Chiefs' Allen Bailey out for Sunday, Tamba Hali questionable

    On the team's final injury report of the week, the Kansas City Chiefs list defensive end Allen Bailey(concussion) as out for Sunday's game. Bailey missed last week's game as well.  Cornerback Phillip Gaines (concussion) is considered as doubtful. Linebacker Tamba Hali, who participated on a limited basis Friday, is questionable for Sunday with a knee injury. Hali missed practice Wednesday and Thursday. He has five sacks and three forced fumbles this year. The following players are listed as probable: Husain Abdullah, Donnie Avery, Jamaal Charles, Anthony Fasano, Junior Hemingway, James-Michael Johnson, Joe Mays, Chris Owens and Sean Smith.

    Chiefs list inactives for Week 12

    The Kansas City Chiefs have listed QB Aaron Murray, WR Donnie Avery, WR A.J. Jenkins, CB Chris Owens, CB Jamell Fleming, C Eric Kush and OL Laurent Duvernay-Tardif as inactive for Week 12 against the Raiders. Both Jenkins and Avery had been rushed out prior to the contest. Fleming was listed as questionable due to a hamstring issue. The other four players are healthy scratches.
