Matt Prater hits NFL record 64 yard field goal

Broncos kicker Matt Prater set a new NFL record, hitting a 64 yard field goal as the first half expired.

After driving down the field with less than a minute left, the Broncos set up Prater for the record-setting play. Prater's kick was down the middle, but barely cleared the ball. Teammates celebrated with Prater on the field before running into the locker room for halftime. The previous record of 63 yards was held by Tom Dempsey, Jason Elam, Sebastian Janikowski and David Akers.

  • Garrett Hartley doesn't get any opportunities

Saints kicker Garrett Hartley was a victim of his team's offensive ineptitude Week 13. He hit one PAT and did not attempt a field goal.

Hartley, who had gone 4 for 4 on field goals over his previous two games, faces the Panthers in Week 14.

  • Greg Zuerlein drills two FGs in loss to 49ers

Rams kicker Greg Zuerlein converted two field goals during Sunday's loss to the 49ers in Week 13.

Zuerlein drilled a 43-yards field goal in the final minute of the first half and a 34-yard shot in the opening drive of the second half. He finished 2 for 2 in field goal attempts and added one extra point in a 23-13 defeat.

Matt Prater doesn't see a field goal attempt Week 13

Broncos kicker Matt Prater did not receive a field goal attempt Week 13 against the Chiefs.

The Broncos offense was firing on all cylinders, and managed to convert all five times they reached the red zone. Prater did receive five extra point attempts. He'll look for more Week 14 against the Titans.

  • Blair Walsh K | ATL

Blair Walsh kicks overtime winner Week 13

Vikings kicker Blair Walsh booted a game-winning, 34-yard field goal in overtime Sunday, as Minnesota escaped with a 23-20 win vs. Chicago. Walsh finished with 11 points.

Walsh's first field goal didn't come until he made a 32-yard kick with 7:08 left in the third quarter. He then sent the game to overtime with a 30-yard field goal with 20 seconds remaining.

Walsh won the game momentarily with a 39-yard field goal with 8:04 left in overtime, but it came off the board thanks to a 15-yard facemask penalty on Rhett Ellison. Two plays later, Walsh missed a 57-yard field goal wide left.

After Robbie Gould missed a 47-yard field goal on the Bears' next drive, Walsh got one more chance to play the hero and came through with the game-winning kick.

The Vikings are back in action Week 14 at Baltimore.

  • Graham Gano K | NYG

    Graham Gano productive again

Panthers kicker Graham Gano kicked two field goals -- a 22-yarder and a 23-yarder -- and three extra points Week 13 against the Buccaneers. The nine points gave him at least eight for the second straight game and the sixth time this season.

The Panthers visit the Saints in Week 14.

  • Matt Bryant K | ATL

Matt Bryant kicks two field goals

Falcons kicker Matt Bryant hit his two field goal opportunities Week 13 against the Bills.

Bryant hit a 49 yard field goal at the end of the second quarter, and then hit a game-winner from 36 yards out in overtime. The Falcons also managed to score four touchdowns, giving Bryant four extra points. He’ll take on the Packers Week 14.

  • Nick Folk K | NYJ

Opportunities remain rare for Nick Folk

The Jets offense managed to do very little right in Week 13 against the Dolphins, so kicker Nick Folk barely had any chances to contribute in a 23-3 loss. Folk made his lone field-goal attempt for the second straight week, connecting from 20 yards out.

Folk has now scored three or fewer points in tree straight games, while attempting on three field goals and two extra points in that span. The Jets' offense has floundered recently, limiting his chances.

New York's next game is set for Week 14 against the Raiders.

  • Caleb Sturgis connects on three after early miss

Dolphins kicker Caleb Sturgis opened Sunday's game against the Jets in Week 13 with a missed field goal, but made up for it later in a 23-3 win.

Sturgis ended the team's first drive of the game by missing from 41 yards out. Fortunately, he got plenty of other chances, as the Dolphins' offense stalled numerous times in the red zone. He connected from 34, 43 and 18 yards and added two extra points to finish the game with 11 points, his second game in a row with more than 10.

Sturgis heads to Week 14 against the Steelers having connected on 23 of 30 field-goal attempts in his rookie season.

  • Justin Tucker kicks Ravens to victory

Ravens kicker Justin Tucker accounted for 16 points and played a huge role in a 22-20 win over the Steelers. Tucker nailed all five of his field-goal tries, bringing his successful streak to 27 makes. Tucker connected from 43, 34, 38, 45 and 48 yards, while adding a lone point after touchdown in the win.

Tucker missed two field goals in the second game of the season, but has been perfect otherwise. He enters Week 14 against the Vikings 29 for 31 on the season.
