Litton signed to the Chiefs' practice squad on Monday, Lynn Worthy of The Kansas City Star reports.

Litton re-joins the Chiefs after finishing the preseason having completed 24 of 41 passes for 299 yards and one touchdown. He'll now spend the year learning behind the likes of Patrick Mahomes and Chad Henne.

Hackenberg was signed to the Bengals' practice squad on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN.com reports.

Hackenberg spent the offseason in Philadelphia but failed to secure a spot on the 53-man roster. The former 2016 second-round selection will now join his fourth different team.

Lynch is slated to work out for the Bills on Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

The Broncos recently cut ties with the No. 26 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, but he figures to catch on elsewhere as a backup. The Bills have current starter Nathan Peterman, as well as 2018 first-rounder Josh Allen on hand, so if Lynch were to sign with Buffalo, he'd be the team's clear-cut No. 3 option. Alternatively, the team may just want to kick the tires on Lynch, with an eye toward having him on a short list of potential replacements should either Peterman or Allen suffer an injury.

Darnold will open the season as the Jets' starting QB.

This was expected since Teddy Bridgewater was traded to the Saints, but the Jets waited until Monday to make the word official. Josh McCown is thus in line to serve as Darnold's backup. While the rookie signal-caller has plenty of long-term upside, his initial fantasy prospects are muddled by the Jets' unsettled WR/TE situations.

Falk was claimed off waivers by the Dolphins, Albert Breer of TheMMQB.com reports.

Falk was recently waived by the Titans after Tennessee snagged the former Washington State quarterback with a sixth-round pick in this year's draft. Now with the Dolphins, Falk will compete with Brock Osweiler and David Fales for the No. 2 job behind Ryan Tannehill.

Petty (oblique) has been placed on injured reserve, according to the league's official transaction log.

Petty, who almost exclusively worked with the third-team offense throughout the summer, has been dealing with an unspecified oblique injury for roughly a week. The Dolphins will move forward with a combination of Ryan Tannehill, David Fales and Brock Osweiler at quarterback.

Allen will open the season as the Bills' backup quarterback after Nathan Peterman was officially named the starter Monday for the team's Week 1 matchup with the Ravens, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Allen made a case for the No. 1 gig by performing well in the Bills' first two exhibitions, but he lost most of his momentum with an ugly showing in the all-important third preseason contest Aug. 26 against the Bengals. The rookie signal-caller completed only six of 12 passes for 34 yards in that game and was sacked five times for a net loss of 39 yards. While Allen did a solid job in limiting turnovers during the exhibition slate, it's clear that he still has some work to do with improving his downfield accuracy and getting comfortable in the pocket. Allen will likely get an opportunity to direct the offense at some point this season whether he's ready or not, as Peterman looks like only a stopgap solution behind center after a dismal debut season in 2017, though we'll at least note Peterman looked sharp and improved throughout the preseason to earn the starting gig.

Peterman has been named Buffalo's starting quarterback for Sunday's regular-season opener at Baltimore, the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle reports.

Peterman beat rookie Josh Allen and AJ McCarron (who was traded to Oakland) for the job. Peterman completed 33 of 41 passes for 431 yards with three touchdowns and an interception -- it came on a tipped ball -- during the preseason.

McGloin was released by the Chiefs on Sunday, BJ Kissel of the Chiefs' official site reports.

The Chiefs initially kept three QBs on the 53-man roster but ultimately settled on just Patrick Mahomes and Chad Henne. It will be difficult for McGloin to find work before Week 1.

Jackson will enter the season as Baltimore's No. 3 quarterback behind Joe Flacco and Robert Griffin, Tom Pelissero of NFL.com reports.

Jackson had three rushing TDs during the preseason and improved as a passer the last two weeks, but it seems the Ravens are more comfortable entering the season with a veteran backup. This may also end the discussion about gadget plays involving Jackson, as teams usually don't keep their No. 3 QB active on game days. It still isn't totally out of the question for Jackson to make starts during his rookie season, especially if the Ravens fall out of playoff contention.
