Myles Gaskin RB | SEA
Dolphins' Myles Gaskin: Confirmed as out for Week 15
Gaskin (illness) won't be activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list ahead of Sunday's game against the Patriots, Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com reports.
Since Gaskin's placement on the list Dec. 12 was the result of a positive test rather than being a close contact of a person infected with the virus, he'll unsurprisingly be held out for a second straight week while he waits to clear all COVID-19-related protocols. At this point, Gaskin isn't known to be suffering from any major symptoms of the virus, but he'll still likely need to practice in some capacity next week to have a shot at suiting up in the Dolphins' next game Dec. 26 in Las Vegas.

Ezekiel Elliott RB | LAC
Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott: Remains in line to play
Elliott (calf) remains questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the 49ers, but the running back remains on track to suit up in the Week 15 contest, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Though Dallas head coach Mike McCarthy acknowledged that Elliott has been further behind in his prep for game day while managing the injury compared to last week, the 25-year-old apparently intends to play at less than 100 percent health. Given that Elliott didn't practice at any point this week, he could be in store for a smaller workload than normal, though McCarthy hasn't specifically said that will be in the cards. Most likely, Dallas will see how Elliott looks early on in the contest before deciding whether to scale back his usage in favor of top backup Tony Pollard. Elliott should be officially cleared to play when the Cowboys release their inactive list 90 minutes prior to the 1 p.m. ET kickoff.

Aaron Jones RB | MIN
Packers' Aaron Jones: Big performance against Panthers
Jones rushed the ball 20 times for 145 yards and one touchdown in Week 15 against the Panthers. He added three receptions for 13 yards.
Jones had the Packers' backfield to himself for much of the contest after Jamaal Williams (quad) exited early on. He took advantage by ripping off long runs of 46, 14 and 10 yards to total his highest rushing yardage total since Week 2. Jones also tallied his eighth touchdown of the campaign, finding the end zone from eight yards away late in the second quarter. He'll have another positive matchup in Week 16 against the Titans and will look to duplicate this statistical output.

Chase Edmonds RB | WAS
Cardinals' Chase Edmonds: Expects to play Sunday
Edmonds (ankle), who is listed as questionable, "plans to play" Sunday against the Eagles, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Schefter also noted the 24-year-old still needs to test things out in pregame warmups, so it appears he's more of a game-time decision as previously indicated by Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com. Edmonds has played more than 50 percent of the offensive snaps in each of the past two games, but his production has been limited with 13 carries for 60 yards and six catches for 36 yards. Kenyan Drake is poised to lead Arizona's run game again Sunday and could be more involved in the passing game should Edmonds be unavailable.
-
Jamaal Williams RB | NO
Packers' Jamaal Williams: Suffers quad injury
Williams is questionable to return to Saturday's game against the Panthers due to a quadriceps injury, Olivia Reiner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
The 25-year-old had one carry for six yards and caught both his targets for 14 yards during the first half before exiting the contest. AJ Dillon will operate as Green Bay's secondary running back behind Aaron Jones while Williams is sidelined.
-
Zack Moss RB | CIN
Bills' Zack Moss: Leads team in rushing
Moss rushed 13 times for 81 yards while not being targeted in the passing game during Buffalo's 48-19 win over Denver on Saturday.
Devin Singletary stole Moss's thunder with a garbage-time 51-yard gallop late in the fourth quarter, but it was the rookie Moss who carried the mail most of the day, leading the team with the aforementioned 13 carries and doing most of the clock-grinding work in the second half with the Bills holding onto a big league. The one negative is that Moss had a few cracks at the end zone on the Bills' numerous scoring drives, but he was either stopped short or watched with the rest of his teammates as QB Josh Allen worked his magic and ran in for two scores on the ground.
-
Melvin Gordon RB | BAL
Broncos' Melvin Gordon: Notches pair of rushing scores
Gordon ran for 61 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries, adding four receptions for 20 yards during Saturday's 48-19 loss to Buffalo.
The two-time Pro Bowl back was able to fight through a shoulder issue that curtailed his practice reps throughout the week, notching his third 2020 performance of multiple rushing scores during a lopsided loss to the Bills. Gordon and Phillip Lindsay split the RB carries at an even 11-11; however, the 27-year-old was far more effective in generating a 5.5 yards-per-carry average (compared to Lindsay's 3.5 YPC). The Wisconsin product continues to ride a solid streak of play with 429 scrimmage yards and four total TDs over his past five outings. He'll try to fare better on the ground during a Week 16 rematch against his former team, after posting just 26 yards on eight carries versus the Chargers on Nov. 1.
-
Devin Singletary RB | NYG
Bills' Devin Singletary: Breaks off 51-yard TD run
Singletary ran for 68 yards and a touchdown on eight carries, corralling all three of his targets for 16 yards during Saturday's 48-19 win against the Broncos.
Singletary led the Bills' running back committee with 39 snaps, but Zack Moss paced the team in both carries (13) and rushing yardage (81) during a dominant road win. A 51-yard TD run with 1:40 remaining in regulation salvaged a solid fantasy day from Singletary, simultaneously providing the back with his first rushing score since Week 4. He's been held to single-digit carries in consecutive outings, but he'll get a chance to build off the explosive late-game contribution next week when the Bills take on the Patriots' No. 23 rush defense.
-
Christian McCaffrey RB | SF
Panthers' Christian McCaffrey: Officially inactive
McCaffrey (thigh) is inactive for Saturday's game against the Packers.
McCaffrey is thus in line to miss a fifth consecutive contest and his 11th overall this season. In his absence, Mike Davis will continue to head the Panthers' backfield Saturday. Per David Newton of ESPN.com, coach Matt Rhule hopes that McCaffrey can play next weekend against Washington.
-
Royce Freeman RB | CHI
Broncos' Royce Freeman: Injures hip Saturday
Freeman (hip) is questionable to return to Saturday's game against the Bills, Kyle Newman of The Denver Post reports.
Freeman was only handling a reserve role with both Melvin Gordon and Phillip Lindsay active Saturday, so his potential absence won't have a huge impact on Denver's offense. However, the Broncos only have three running backs active Saturday, and the team will be a bit short on depth if Freeman can't return.
