Dray was released by the Bills on Tuesday, ESPN's Mike Rodak reports.

Dray will be replaced by Gerald Christian, who was promoted from the practice squad for the corresponding transaction. Neither player offers any potential fantasy appeal, as even starting tight end Charles Clay has struggled to produce in Buffalo's run-heavy offense.

Lewis is dealing with a right hip pointer, but he is expected to return to action following the Jaguars' Week 5 bye.

Lewis was injured during Sunday's victory over the Colts, which may have played a role in him catching just one pass despite working as the starting tight end with Julius Thomas (elbow) out. Thomas is also expected to return to action in Week 6, which would push Lewis back into a reserve role.

Hamlett has been promoted to the Browns' active roster, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

With Randall Telfer (ankle) and Seth DeValve (knee) both injured, the Browns have a clear need for depth at tight end behind starter Gary Barnidge. The team thus promoted Hamlett from the practice squad, perhaps setting him up to appear in an NFL game for the first time. He's still a long ways away from warranting fantasy consideration.

Lewis caught one pass for 12 yards in Sunday's Week 4 win over the Colts.

Lewis was elevated to the No. 1 tight end spot in Week 4 with Julius Thomas out due to an elbow injury, but it didn't translate to increased production for the veteran. Blake Bortles targeted Lewis just twice, as the Jaguars made a more concerted effort to establish the run (29 attempts). Jacksonville is on bye in Week 5, so it's likely Thomas will be back on the field for Week 6, which would push Lewis back into the No. 2 tight end role.

Donnell left Monday's game against the Vikings with a concussion, and he will not return to the contest, Seth Walder of the NY Daily News reports.

Donnell was a step slow to his blocking assignment on a running play, which allowed Vikings LB Anthony Barr to come through the hole and lay a huge hit on the tight end. It was obvious when watching the play that Donnell suffered a concussion, and he was ruled out for the rest of the night almost immediately thereafter. Will Tye, who typically splits snaps with Donnell, will take on an expanded workload for the rest of the night.

James had two receptions for 15 yards and a touchdown in Pittsburgh's 43-14 win over Kansas City on Sunday.

Averaging less than four targets per game the past three weeks, James is making the most of his opportunities, having scored twice over that span. Unfortunately, the limited number of targets makes him a difficult start for fantasy owners. The Steelers next face the Jets -- who despite having the No. 27 ranked passing defense, have allowed just one touchdown to opposing tight ends through their first four games. Even with Travis Kelce, Jimmy Graham, Coby Fleener and Julius Thomas all on a bye, look elsewhere for a tight end in Week 5.

Pruitt (knee) has been ruled active for Monday's matchup with the Giants.

Pruitt missed the first three weeks of the season with a knee injury, but will return to action Monday night. The second-year tight end figures to play a relatively small role, as he is listed third on the team's depth chart.

Allen had two receptions for 20 yards on four targets in Sunday's loss to Jacksonville.

Allen played more snaps (62) than Jack Doyle (40), but wasn't prominently featured in the passing game once the team fell behind. He also had a bad drop. Allen looks like a boom-or-bust option that's mostly dependent on red zone production at this point as he's not getting enough targets each week for viable fantasy value in most formats.

Hooper caught his first career touchdown pass in Sunday's win over the Panthers.

On a day in which Matt Ryan threw for a career-high 503 yards, Hooper only saw one target, but he made it count, hauling in a 42-yard touchdown pass. He's only caught five passes in four games, but he's averaging 28 yards per reception, so if his roles grows he could prove useful.

Kelce caught five passes for 23 yards and a touchdown on eight targets in Sunday's 43-14 loss to the Chiefs.

Kelce salvaged his stat line with some short receptions in garbage time, including a three-yard touchdown with just four seconds remaining. He leads the team in receptions (22) and ranks second in targets (29), serving as the clear second option behind wideout Jeremy Maclin. The 26-year-old tight end has a Week 5 bye, followed by a favorable matchup with Oakland.
